The Strauss Mausoleum

The Strauss is a modestly-sized mausoleum in the classical style, but the beauty of this design is in the unique granite and in the attention to detail in the simple ornamentation. The granite used in the construction of this mausoleum is Salisbury Pink – an unusual stone noted for its rosy color. The bas-relief border around the door is expertly carved by our master craftsmen. The Doric columns and laurel wreath crown this mausoleum with classical detailing, paying homage to great Greek architecture.
One of the unusual features of The Strauss is the window in the rear wall of the mausoleum. The extra light, combined with the light from the glass panels in the door, makes this mausoleum less oppressive than some of the more imposing traditional designs. The classical Greek architectural touches combined with the extra light and the rosy color of the granite conspire to make this mausoleum a dignified, yet beautiful final resting place for those interred within.
