The Mendelssohn Mausoleum

vestibule60

The Mendelssohn mausoleum style is unique and homey, and pays homage to the couple interred. This creative mausoleum design evokes images of a rustic ski cabin, with Barre granite styled to resemble a gabled wood structure with an overhanging roof. The mausoleum door looks like the front door of a house; not the traditional two-door gated structure of most mausoleums.

Landscaping is simple and austere so as not to detract from the sky cottage styling. The walkway and bench invite family members to stop and remember the individuals commemorated by this unique structure. The Mendelssohn is a great example of how a custom mausoleum design can incorporate details and reflect a style that is truly indicative of the family.
